Two Ways to Look at Memorial Day

There are two distinctly different ways to look at the day that was set for remembrance of those that were lost on the field of battle.

Here's one:

Here is another:

  1. FUCK CHRIS HAYES. HE IS A MAJOR PANSIE TO BEGIN WITH. WHO CARES ABOUT HIS OPINION.

What is a hero? He seems to believe that only people who did something "heroic", like saving another solider is a hero. BULLSHIT. Consider my grandfathers. They both served in WWII but never in action. My Grandpa Liveringhouse served in the Navy, spending a couple of years stationed in the Aleutian Islands, and my Grandpa Bodin was in the Army Air Corps as a crew chief on a B-24 Liberator bomber, but was called up too late to for actual combat. They both are heroes. They were called to duty, left their families (my Grandpa Liveringhouse has 2 kids with a 3rd on the way) and went off to a far away land. They did not fly United Air Lines, did not stay in a nice resort.

Consider my brother Matt, who just recently rejoined the National Guard at 43 years of age. He could be called away from home and family too at a notice.

All of them are heroes. All deserve to be recognized. And, the Chris Hayes is just blabbering out loud what all Leftie Wimps really believe.

  2. Agree completely. My grandpa did about the same thing your Grandpa Bodin did. The difficulties on him and his family were not insignificant.

We're lucky to have these men in our lives to serve as examples. I think that is something Mr. Hayes does not. Perhaps among other things he lacks...

Please feel free to include any thoughts you may have. Know, however, that kiddos might be reading this, so please keep the adult language to yourself. I know, for me to ask that language is clean is a stretch...
